Description
Riot Über Alles (Óscar Valero, BCN 1979).
Technically a designer and illustrator (that is, his paid profession), he also writes, paints and does other things. He published his first collection of poems in 2005, followed by six more. His first exhibition was (of course) in a brewery in the suburbs of Barcelona back in 2000.
In 2009, he co-founded the artistic collective EAT MEAT, established in the Gràcia district of Barcelona and supported by a saga of collaborators, designing a programme of exhibitions, performances, poetry recitals, experimental music performances and other oddities that lasted until mid-2014.
He has exhibited his work (almost) regularly since 2006, from Barcelona (mostly, what is the point in denying it) to Dublin, Madrid, Seville, Tarragona, Lleida and Extremadura. The rest of the locations are merely anecdotal. His work can be consulted at riotuberalles.com.
In addition to his 6 collections of poems, he has also published two books of short stories and a handful of entries in literary anthologies, both poetic and prose. He currently manages, together with Colectivo Juan de Madre, a frankly lax morality self-managed publishing house of bizarre literature.
